1840 Brewing Company began by producing a variety of barrel-aged and bottle-fermented beers. They have expanded their operation to include 10 draft beers available in their trendy Bay View neighborhood taproom.

Amorphic Beer

Black Husky Brewing

Black Husky Brewing established a name for itself with its flagship pale ale during its humble beginnings in rural Pembine, WI. Their bread and butter still remain their hop-forward beers, but they offer a large variety of styles.

Gluten be damned. Explorium Brew Pub offers the largest variety of gluten-removed beers in the city and a few hazy beers for gluten gluttons. The large covered outdoor spaces are great for big groups or inclement weather.

Hacienda Beer Company – North Ave Taproom

Imported from Door County, WI, Hacienda Beer Company’s Milwaukee location offers a full food lineup to go with their beers. Most of their 12 tap beers lean hoppy and dry, but there’s usually at least one darker option.

Indeed Brewing Company – Milwaukee*

As a pilot brewing location for their large-scale operation in Minneapolis, Indeed Brewing Company uses Milwaukee as its test market. You’ll find lots of original beers and styles on the menu here, as well as all of the Indeed regulars.

With probably the most notorious brewery tour in the city, Lakefront Brewery has been entertaining and hydrating its guests since 1987. The Friday night fish fry in the beer hall may also be one of Milwaukee’s most popular.

Miller Brewing

Whether you’re a fan of craft beers or macros, there’s no denying that Miller Brewing is a true icon in the rich history of Brew City. Seeing the enormous scale of their brewing operations on their tour is a great go-to for anyone visiting Milwaukee.

Pilot Project

Housed in the old Milwaukee Brewing Company’s 9th street location, this Chicago-based brewing project opened in Milwaukee in November 2022.

Pilot Project‘s motto is to help creative brewers succeed in a field that has a high barrier to entry. It serves as a launch pad for start-up breweries. While visiting Pilot Project, you’ll get a chance to taste beers from several breweries.

MobCraft
